The Rundown:

Prices are still on the rise and the demand for homes is still strong. The question floating around these days is, “are we in a housing bubble?”. We don’t own a crystal ball, but all indicators point to no, we are not. San Diego’s current market is driven by a shortage of homes and low interest rates, whereas the bubble in the mid-2000s was driven by credit being handed out like candy.

Bottom Line:

The future of San Diego’s housing and general economy are looking good. Interest rates are going to go up a bit, which could result in a market slowdown. But because of the strong demand, we don’t see prices slipping all that much... right now is great time time to buy or sell a home.
